Undergraduate Pathway in Life Sciences

Edinburgh Napier's School of Applied Sciences has more than 4,000 students and is a vibrant hub in the heart of the university's brand new state-of-the-art campus at Sighthill. You can choose to study from a range of stimulating, informative courses to learn truly practical skills in some of the UK's best and most modern laboratories.
On campus you will find an ultra-modern chamber that replicates environmental conditions for experiments, as well as psychology labs with eye-trackers and state-of-the-art biomedical and biological teaching facilities. After graduation you can apply your skills in a variety of areas, from researching cancer cures or investigating endangered species, to analysing crimes or improving the training of elite athletes. All courses are taught by experts involved in many life-science fields, and you will have opportunities in your final year to work on cutting-edge research.

Factors taken into account include inflationary measures such as the retail price index (RPI), projected increases in university costs, changes in the level of grant from the Scottish Funding Council, costs of provision of teaching, supervision and course-related facilities. Over the past 3 years, the average level of increase has been 5.8% p.a. for self-funding students (excluding those studying on programmes where fee levels are fixed by the Scottish Government e.g. Scottish/EU students on full-time undergraduate programmes. For 2017 entry it is expected that Undergraduate tuition fees will increase by 1.16%.
